My family loves the Zane Grey RV Campgrounds in Camp Verde, AZ. The staff there are very friendly and helpful. We have stayed here many times and they are always doing things to engage their guest. On the weekends, one day, they offer free coffee and donuts. Over New Years holiday, they invited everyone to a BBQ/pot luck and had an amazing band. We recently stayed at Zane Grey RV Village and were absolutely delighted by the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their friendly demeanor and helpful tips about the area. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with spacious sites that offer both privacy and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The amenities were top-notch—clean restrooms and hot showers. I've been driving past Zane Grey RV Village for many years. recently I learned it was under new ownership and has been greatly improved. Friends of ours stayed there in Oct 2025 and they were pleasantly surprised to find how wonderful it was since the new ownership took over. We stayed there over New years and had a wonderful experience. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. They had a great band on new Years Eve and even provided a BBQ. One of the nicest campgrounds I’ve been stayed at in a long time. Very well maintained large spaces. Restrooms and showers were immaculately clean. Lots of fun things for the kids and family to do. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. Plus they have a beautiful woody trail that you can walk around. It goes down to the creek. They’ve put out benches so you can sit and enjoy the scenery and the creek.
The staff at Zane Grey was outstanding. We had an issue with a pet that escaped from our RV during early morning in the rain. The staff kept diligent watch and became aware of dogs barking that was out of the normal atmosphere. That was when Bill climbed a small heavily foliaged hill and found our pet in the presence of the dogs. He carried our pet down and returned him safely. Thank you to the staff for your efforts.
