Defective - Not happy about this I ordered this replacement hose section on May 19, 2023. It has already developed several pinholes that are shooting out small streams of water. This indicates a poor manufacturing and/or quality control process.I have been a big Polaris fan for 15 years but now I am starting to reconsider my options.
Poor quality and cracks within days. Poor quality and cracks within days…I’ve had to cut and reassemble just about every 2-3 days. If this is truly a genuine Polaris part then their reputation for quality is seriously at risk. Can someone tell me where I can get a sturdier hose?
Stiff Hose is very stiff. Not very flexible. Polaris must have changes material or supplier
Flimsy and had holes within a month of use Not convinced this is a genuine part when comparing to my original one on the polaris.I've replaced multiple sections with this hose and they fail regularly. Everything works fine for a few weeks and then the small holes appear. No way around it I will look for a heavier grade of hose since this flimsy one does not work.
Pure crap...Splitsville....Junk....What's the point.... This hose started splitting within two months of use. Not just an occasional split, it would split in a new spot every few days. As if it cannot handle one scintilla of sunlight. Not that you'd expect a hose that lives in a swimming pool to have ANY resistance to sunlight...what was I thinking?Let's face it, this is a three-dollar hose that they suck 20 bucks out of you for. Going downhill fast I've purchased 4 of these since 2016.The first two did a pretty good job but the last two...Bought one last Nov but didn't install it until 4 months ago. About 6 weeks after install I noticed it had a few pin hole leaks in it. I thought maybe the g-kids did something so I ordered another. Same issue after 5-8 weeks.
Overpriced and Worthless Outrageously expensive for cheap plastic tubing that simply doesn't work. I'm just trying to keep my Polaris 360 running, until I can find another supply side pool cleaner that works better, and doesn't need an auxiliary pump. The tubing is so cheap that it splits open between the ribs continually, and sprays water everywhere. I cut and patch the tubing continually. Poor quality control There were 5 holes in the first 14" of the hose. Luckily, the rest seems to be (so far) undamaged. The thickness of the hose wall appears to be thinner than the original equipment.Addendum - 10 days later. This feed hose has developed 3 more serious cracks/holes, after I cut away the aforementioned 14". You guys know what happens when your Polaris feed hose leaks - major problems with the function of the cleaner. Hose will crack consistently Does Not last long before holes / cracks appear in the hose, especially as the weather gets colder. You can cut the hose and recouple with other pool parts, but that's a short lived fix as the hose will inevitable crack again. If this is the right size hose for the application, look at Lowes for they pool hose, it's one solid length (mine is 25') and will pressure fit PERFECTLY over the ends that this hose fits.
