It's just ok. It works well at keeping most pine needles, small leaves etc from the pool filter. It even holds sand and and very small pebbles. This feature is defeated by the self draining feature. As soon as the vacuum is broken, the sand and small gravel falls back into the pool causing further clean-up without the cannister. I ended up using waterproof tape on the bottom. For this reason and the fact that it can not accommodate my regular coiled hose well . Plus the cannisters rubber gasket does not seal well.
Saves clogged return lines We have a lot of trees (especially palm trees) near the pool and this is a must. Before I used this, I had to pay someone to blow out the clogged return lines twice. After that, I wised up and got a leaf catcher. So far I've found this is the best. Comes with adapters to use with cleaner hoses other than Zodiac.

Keeps leaves out of my pump basket This works great. I'm having trouble with my very old worn out pool cleaner but am waiting on a new zodiac cleaner. Will be better able to review it then.

Works This thing was a trooper helping me clean a pool not touched in 2 years with no cover. Couldn't have done it without it.
Works Works great this filters out the debri that settled in during the day. Here in Mesa Arizona we get a lot of small debri blown into our pool that used to go into our filter. Now I only have to back flush the filter once a week instead of sometime twice a day.
