Good leaf basket, but algea magnet First of all, I will say that I really do like this leaf basket because it does catch the leaves before they get to the pump. But if you have an algae problem, this thing attracts it and becomes a breeding ground for more algea. The handle's design makes it very difficult if not impossible to scrub all of the algea out because there are tiny slits up and down the handle. After using a toothbrush and even a pipe cleaning brush, I couldn't get all of the algea out.

A tornado of leaves We have always had a leaf catcher on our Kreepy Krawley. The one we used, had a fine mesh bag that would catch everything, including dog hair. At first that was nice, because it kept the pool filter cleaner longer. Eventually we realized that the bag would get clogged very easily and make our filter work extra trying to suck water through a thin mesh of hair and small leaves. I decided to try this Zodiac hoping that the cyclonic action would keep the water flowing while collecting leaves. It has surpassed... read more

Lid Does not Fully Seal - Move closer to Vaccuum to Solve I have had this for a little over a year and overall I am happy with it. It catches debris and is easy to use. Similar to other reviewers though, I have issues with the lid not fully sealing. If the canister floats at an angle or flips, it sucks in Air. I saw where another reviewer moved the canister closer to the vacuum at the bottom of the pool and it solved this issue. I will also try!

This Leaf Canister has been doing a great job and works great with my MX6 This Leaf Canister has been doing a great job and works great with my MX6. Just make sure you keep it so the canister is straight down so no air enters which is easy to do.

It's just ok. It works well at keeping most pine needles, small leaves etc from the pool filter. It even holds sand and and very small pebbles. This feature is defeated by the self draining feature. As soon as the vacuum is broken, the sand and small gravel falls back into the pool causing further clean-up without the cannister. I ended up using waterproof tape on the bottom. For this reason and the fact that it can not accommodate my regular coiled hose well . Plus the cannisters rubber gasket does not seal well.
