Works great as long as you empty it every hour It works great until the leaves hit a tipping point and stick to all of the holes and stop all water flow, and my MX8 stops moving. So when there's been some wind or a storm and there are more than a few leaves on the bottom I have to plan on being around to empty this thing once per hour or so. It's better than having to clean the bottom myself but I wish I could just leave it running at night and know it wouldn't stop the waterflow.

I had purchased and was using the Baracuda MX8 for quite some time and found having to empty the pump strainer quite a chore, not mentioning the strain it was causing on the pump motor.
