We put a rock inside so it would stay submerged and so far works great! Works well to catch the leaves. It might be my setup, but it seemed to stick out of the water when pump on which caused air to go in. We put a rock inside so it would stay submerged and so far works great!

This thing really works Hey, this thing works. I had to have my return line blown out in that it was plugged with twigs and leaves. Poolman service recommended this and now my filter at the pump is clean. High praises for this innovative item.

Great product and very easy to use if you have a zodiac pool cleaner, you need to get one of these leaf catchers..our skimmer got clogged by too many leaves getting stuck in the return pipe..our pool repair man had to use CO2 to dislodge them..to avoid another service call, he suggested this gadget, combined with a stanley leaf vacuumStanley 28816 Leaf Vacuum..now I can clean our pool in a fraction of the time..make sure you install this leaf catcher as close to the skimmer as possible and that you twist the hose until the u... read more

Your pumps best friend This thing saved me so much hassle last fall when all leaves from my neighbors tree were falling into my pool. The pump basket rarely has anything in it which helps keep the suction strong and less wear and tear on the pump. The only thing I would change is to make it somehow submerge fully underwater so the connections aren't exposed. The connections on the hose links break easy and I would bet with the sun exposure they get from not being submerged will cause them to crack.

Average over all works really well and is better than the original type as it collects much more debris and is easier to empty. I gave it a three star because the lid is most difficult to get on and off. I am disabled and this poses a problem

Very good quality leaf separator Very good quality leaf separator. It is built solid and holds a ton of debris but you do have to take it apart properly to keep captured debris from falling back to the pool. I disconnect my filter side connection, stick it to the wall (dedicated cleaner port; I wouldn't do this with a skimmer and bottom drain only, but that is just my opinion), lift it until it starts to drain, then disconnect, and carefully detach the inner screen as it often sticks to the inner housing. Once you do this, c... read more
