Fantastic pool cleaner We have a small fiberglass pool and have had other automatic pool cleaners in the past. This one is by far the best. It cleans fast and goes up the walls better than our previous cleaners. Would definitely recommend.
works like a charm I had it in the pool for a full day now and it works wonderfully on the floor. It doesn't however work up the sides of the pool. I brushed them down and let it clean up the floor. I love that it works on low flow which allows the pump to also work the skimmer at the same time. After a couple of hours the pool was looking great.
Compact, doesn't get stuck in corners or steps - great little cleaner - poolman video review The MX6 is another in Zodiac's line of compact cleaner (T3 was their first). I was starting to like the MX8 and after learning all of the in and outs of the MX8 I have gotten the pools on my route with them looking great. The MX8 is a heavy cleaner but works well in most pools. The MX6 is made for pools with variable speed pumps (not dual speed) as it will run at a lower RPM then the MX8. Terrible no leaf catcher canister Such a dumb product that it doesn’t come with the canister to catch the leaves so your pool filter gets beat up brutally and everything get sucked right in there. The vacuum will suck up wood chips, sticks anything and push it right to your pool filter all through your equipment. Terrible
Good design but poor performance If you have a lot of leaves or debris in your pool from storms blown somehow into the pool. This gets clogged easily by even tiny twigs. It's a maintenance nightmare. I had it for 4 years and had to replace parts several times. Now it just circles around. It’s good for sucking up the algae on the floors and walls but for any heavy debris .. you gotta do it yourself.
Craps This is great if you’re looking for a pool vacuum that you have to replace every 12 months. It does great and lasts one year than it craps the bed. I’ve had more than one of them.
Not worth the buy Only worked for 2 months and trying to get the company to answer on a warranty claim has been impossible. Almost a year later and no respond to a fix to this product.
Gets stuck easy The media could not be loaded. If you have tile on the edge of steps or list gets stuck and won’t move. I am very unhappy with this expensive purchase.
Could not get MX6 to work I bought my first MX6 in 2021 and thought I knew what I was getting when I bought it again in late 2025. However, the quality of the new MX6 has deteriorated and I could not make it work. When spinning it by hand there is so much friction that the suction of my pool pump is not able to overcome it and get the tracks to rotate.
