I've had it in the pool water for 3.5 months and the interior rubber parts (look like small white paddles that move the debris into the hose for extraction) are already deteriorating. I would except them to last at least 1 year before needing to be replaced. Hoping that maintenance cost will not make me regret spending less on this highly rated cleaner instead of spending more on a cleaner with less maintenance costs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best pool cleaner This is the best pool cleaner in the business. Very highly recommended. Cleans the side walls of the pool as well as the bottom. The larger model, MX8 is too heavy. Doesn't do a good job on the side walls like the MX6 does.
