Hoses are terrible The cleaner itself is quite good, however, the hoses are brand specific and horrible quality. You will be lucky to get 6 months - 1 yr out of a set the 3ft sections are quite expensive to replace.
Works Like A Champ I can't say enough good things about the Zodiac MX6. It took a little while to get just the right suction from my Pentair Variable Speed Pump. I finally figured out that I needed to adjust the valve between the suction on the skimmer and the side port where I connected the MX6. But once I got it right, it now goes the right speed, climbs the walls up to the tile. It does not go on the steps, but that is OK with me since the steps don't get too dirty anyways. Sucks in a good way. Goes everywhere in the pool (last one stayed in the deep end only). Stops working if a eucalyptus leaf gets stuck but that’s my neighbor’s tree’s fault, not the product.
Does a great job! This little cleaner works as well as the more expensive ones. It climbs walls and stairs, but never stops.
Requires less suction than my past vacuums. If you have a variable speed pump, we have no choice but to have them in Calif, no vacuum works on speed 1 or 2 some don't on 3 this one works great on 3 and 4 so make sure you program enough time on the higer speeds to fully clean your pool. I have had the pool for 34 years this is the 5th different vacuum and so far it's the best.

Suction houses is Weak Link Really like the MX-6 pool vac. Does a great job and climbs the walls for a total clean. HOWEVER... the suction hose is flimsy. After one year it began falling apart unraveling (see pic). It did this at the ends and in the middle. From beginning it had tangled up and company told me nothing they could do about it. So I retrieved my old suction hose from my defunct Polaris unit and cobbled together connector ends from the Zodiac hose so I could use the much heavier Polaris hose. WORKS GREAT! Love it Replaced my old Kreepy Krawler..works like a charm, took about 2 minutes to "dial" it in to my system. Had the pool perfect within 1 day of the spring pool opening..
Great cleaner but poor hoses. I really like this pool cleaner. What I don’t like are the hoses. They seem to be very poor quality and break easily. I keep them out of the Sun but they still split. The replacement hoses are quite expensive.
