Does not climb stairs, gets stuck in skimmer opening when it's own hose is inserted int he skimmer. It's day one of using, very easy to assemble and adjust the water flow. In 3 hours of use it has almost covered the entire pool's surfaces, except stairs ( did do some of the bottom step) and sitting ledge (did not do at all). Water line cleaning is just that water line not up to the coping.
