The hoses that come with the MX six are garbage I’ve had the zodiac MX six for two years I like the crawler but the hoses that come with the unit are garbage. The sections began failing after the first season and now I’ve replaced all of them except for two sections I’ve been using the push together gray hoses that came with the crawler I had before this so these hoses are over 10 years old and still haven’t failed. just be aware that if you buy this crawler, you’re going to be replacing hose sections within the first year
Great little cleaner So I didn’t want to rate this until I had had a week of use…and we have a cover so crap gets under cover…at one end roller is open…but when I opened cover recently found the old sweep sitting and pool was a mess… spend some time doing homework, and liked this unit the best. Ordered it, installed it..WARNING: leaf catcher May need newer connection as this unit has a insert and twist to lock…old one was friction…so I put leaf catcher at insertion spot at the wall, then hooked up sweep. Good product, works as advertised. Good product, works as advertised, easy to setup, just make sure you follow instructions and have the right amount of hose, too much hose is not necessarily a great thing. There is a higher grade model, for more money, I'm happy with this one, I don't need the extra features, my pool does not get much dirt and leaves.
Best for steps This works better than the standard flat model when the pool has several steps. Found the flat model would wear out quicker.
It Simply Works Zodiac's standard packaging exceptionally sturdy and the unit was well packed. Added, it was easy to setup the MX^ and it worked out of the box.
Easy to use I like it
Not great, not terrible. I am new to pool ownership and am trying to find the most low maintenance way to keep it clean and free of leaves. I do not love it. I tried connecting it to the suction port, and proper operation requires full closure of the drain line and most of the skimmer line, placing the pump at risk of damage should the hose come out and let the suction cover snap shut. It’s also extremely finicky, requiring fine tuning. Too much flow and it climbs up out of the water and tries to airlock the pump, too little... read more
Zodie - our new pool guy Really, really like this new helper on our pool! It took a few adjustments to my variable speed pump to find the sweet spot and now Zodie is AWESOME! Easy to launch, does a great job, and a great value. Highly recommended Zodie as your next pool guy!
Hard to adjust to get the right amount of suction. Hard to adjust to get the right amount of suction. Too little and it doesn’t move. Too much and it comes out of the water and sucks in air.
