Does a good job, but.... This thing will pick up almost anything in it's path. Cleans the pool bottom very well. We have a Kayak style rectangular pool and it has a hard time with the square corners. That's the lost star on the rating for me. I do have a piece of advice if you have a heavy debris load, get the inline leaf catcher, it will save you time and maybe a pump. Wonderful! The Ranger is wonderful! It even sucks up silt! One thing though, I have an oval pool and it doesn't seem to go all the way to the end-though this is my first automatic cleaner, I think I'll need to make sure I followed all directions for the next time I use it.
works as intended i received this product yesterday and within 30 minutes decided to toss it in the pool. I was very pleased with how it cleaned the bottom of the pool. I left it in for about 2 hours and it pretty much did the whole bottom . It missed two small spots that I hopped in a d redirected it to clean. Very pleased and would receommend based on how well it did the first go round.

great pool cleaner for the price Works very well for the price. Make sure you do not use too much hose lengths it comes with. It will sometimes get kinked and the cleaner will not move around pool bottom properly.
great deal This is my first pool cleaner... on the advice of my neighbor I decided to get it... shipped very quickly... got notices through amazon via text when it would ship and arrival date and even got text saying it had been delivered!! Talk about service! WOW ... put together AND hooked up within 5 minutes and it works GREAT!!!!! very quiet ...would recommend this product, especially if your not into complicated devices!! a must have!!! My weekends are completely overwhelming with the yard, kids, and pool. I got the Ranger to try to save the time an energy of vacuuming my pool by hand every week. I have used it 2 times already and it is a life saver! It works great, is quiet and gets the job done. My only complaint was not buying one sooner!
Question Does anyone know if you have to have a certain horsepower motor to operate this cleaner. My friend has a intex 18' above ground pool and I hooked it up to the inlet side and it will suck but not very well. I have a 1 horse motorand it does great
