I have went to 54th Street for over 30 years. I used to love it, but tonight things, had changed, and not in a good way… The Chicken Nachos that I have ordered for years had changed. They no longer had Gringo Dip on them, the no longer had Pico De Gallo on them… the cooks had splashed HOT sauce all over them, not Salsa, but Hot Hot sauce and it was intolerable. Never greeted to be seated. Bar seating in never available due too 1 seat left open all around. I’ve tried 3 times to like this place and sadly it’s a no due to poor customer service!
I did not have a great experience this time. We were quoted a 45 minute wait what ended up being 50 minutes. They took my party of 5 and slapped us at a 4 top. After 1 hour and 20 minutes I was given a chicken Caesar salad with croutons when I ordered it without croutons. They brought me the same salad and picked out the croutons but did not get them all. I usually have a great experience but not today. 😢
I really want to love this place. The food and drinks are amazing. Great atmosphere. I chalked up my first mediocre service experience to a busy Chiefs game and decided to give it another try with friends. Same experience! Both times I sat at the bar.
