I have been seeing Dr.Lowy every 9 weeks for podiatry care for approximately 3 years. He recently performed a left bunionectomy and revision of 2 toes left foot with amazing results. I had been in constant pain from the great toe overlapping the second toe for over one year but I was not willing to submit to surgery until an ulcer had formed on the second toe at which time Dr. Lowy informed me that I really needed to have the surgery. Dr. Adam Lowy has been my podiatrist for the past number of months. He took care of the callous on the bottom of my right foot, as well as the the big toes. We finally decided foot surgery was a good option. I had the big toe and the 2nd toe ‘straightened’ meaning the big toe has a screw in it plus the tendon brought back, and the 2nd toe had a pin inserted. Dr. Lowy helped my 7 year old and had such a wonderful bedside manner. He made her feel at ease and provided care in a gentle manner. She was extremely nervous before arriving and left smiling. Dr. Lowy is not in the business of helping patients but wants to find additional reasons to bill you for multiple visits. When I met with him he suggested coming back for a 2nd visit to get molds for my orthotics, when I asked why we couldn't do it right then he said they needed to confirm my insurance would cover it. I said I could call them right away, and sure enough I had the answer within 5 min. He seemed to become more and more angry and kept reiterating that that wasn't the normal practice.
