everything was good overall food portions at meals could be bigger a liittlemore info from doctors how long your going to be here letting someone in with covid for 2 days before you found out he/she was positve was a little disappointing
Nursing staff and facilities were largely acceptable. Councilors were responsive. However, the doctor was extremely unresponsive to my questions and other patients needs and concerns.
Tom the counselor on "A" unit is the best, a cut above the rest!
I had an excellent experience with all staff members. On every shift my needs were accommodated in a timely manner. Everyone was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, especially the third shift staff. I was kept comfortable as possible even during my worst moments. From the other residents and staff, everyone was friendly and all here to just heal and help each other through the hardest parts of our entire lives.
Everything is great now that I have moved to residential.
Upon arrival to AdCare I was in what my friends, family, and spouse considered to be a near death state. My health had been deteriorating at an exponential rate; I would goes days without eating, I was neglecting my personal hygiene, sometimes sleeping in my truck (which I had let become an absolute disaster inside due to my complete disregard for it's due maintenance), all due to my horrific drinking pattern which would force my girlfriend to kick me out of our home at times. The staff is great, I learned so much from the staff. I really want to specify how accommodating Erin in nursing was. I also wanted to say thank you to the TA Paul for his sharing and showing us how much is possible when you become sober. He was a real inspiration to me and others.
The professionalism and compassion shown by the staff that work here at Adcare RI are second to known. I personally want to thank Matt (a nurse on midnights) who literally ensured I made it through nite one of detox. It’s very possible without his persistence and constant monitoring I could of had a stroke or worse. What more can I say then his expertise is the reason I’m here and able to write this! THANK YOU MATT!!
