Dr T told me I had a torn tendon. He did not indicate that diagnosis in his medical records. He offered a Biolab GF injection or surgery for relief. I opted for the injection and paid $3600. I later learned the injection was available for as little as $750 and confronted him with that. He wrote extensively about my being combative in his medical records. I chose to complete my follow up with a sports medicine doctor who indicated I probably would have been OK with a conservative non-invasive treatment. She also offered regen... read more
if a suggested procedures or therapy requires an out of pocket payment I suggest you get a second opinion. If an xray or ultrasound show something wrong, be sure you see it and have it pointed to. I also recommend you get an itemized receipt after each visit for all charges that will be submitted to Medicare so you can check them against your Medicare statement, especially if you have multiple visits. This is a smart thing for all seniors to do with each doctor to make certain our taxes are used wisely.
I went to Dr T (Alphonse Tribuiani) to have a toenail removed after dropping a cabinet on my big toe. He told me that I would need to have stem cell treatments urgently, or I would require surgery because my tendon would snap. The stem cell treatments are not covered by insurance and would cost $3600 and are not FDA approved. He immobilized the toe, soft casted my foot, put me in a boot and told me to come back in two days for the injections. I went for a second opinion at a REPUTABLE foot doctor in Estero. After the second ... read more
The few reviews that i read i would say I don't agree with the patients that wrote the. I would this whole practice outstanding in every way. They staff was very friendly and knew what they were talking about. They explained this extremely well. Dr. T was most understanding and explained things well. Were these people at the same office as I was?
I would strongly recommend researching for a better podiatrist than Dr. Alphonse Tribuiani. It has taken me a while to write this review because I could not believe how rude and arrogant he was in working with me. I felt he explained things very poorly and was very condescending and became very irate when I questioned the method he wanted to use. There a many kind, respectful doctors in the area. Avoid him at all costs!
I went to this doctor for plantar fasciitis. Before attempting any treatment, he told me I should have surgery. I refused the surgery, and he then recommended orthotics which I agreed to. The claim the office submitted to BCBS of Florida for the orthotics was rejected because the claim contained inaccurate billing codes. The office refuses to correct the claim and resubmit it to BCBS so BCBS can pay it and they keep sending me a bill. Stay away from this practice. There are lots of other good, reputable podiatrists in the Es... read more
Although the staff at Total Podiatry is very kind and knowledgeable Dr. Tribuiani, on my second visit with him, said three times within my visit I wasted his and his staff's time because within the third week of coming in he wasn't satisfied with the lack of better results. He said because I didn't follow through by using the Bemer Mat which he tactlessly said the cost for 10 pre-paid treatments wasn't a big deal of expense for me when I asked why it wasn't covered by my insurance. I thought that was more of an option as I w... read more
Went to see Tribuiani for ankle pain. Was told $3400 stem cells is only real treatment. He gave me a pamphlet and advised me to not research it because he's a doctor and he wouldn't lead me astray. He showed me how I have severe arthritis on my xrays. Also he said the online research if full of lies and I needed to just read the paper he was giving me. I pondered it and went back a couple weeks later and he said the same. I asked about other more affordable options and he offered a boot they sell and an OTC medicine they sel... read more
Was very disappointed with my experience with Dr Tribuiani. I felt like I was being rushed thru unnecessary and exorbitant procedures, although I was not sure. When I went to get a 2nd opinion the Dr and his offices were absolutely non cooperative in furnishing any of my X-rays and MRI’s . It took me many days and many phone calls and a lot of aggravation to get my records. To say the least it was totally unprofessional. Would not recommend Dr Tribuiani.
