This place was absolutely crucial to my recovery, and I am still sober over a year later. This place was great for drying out and learning about this disease and what I was up against. The food was very healthy and I could do yoga and work out everyday!! The staff did the best they could, even though a lot of the clients would be very rude to them and disrespectful. People who leave bad reviews about this place is a clear reflection on how they feel about themselves, that's all I'll say. It's not up to rehab facilities to get and keep you sober they are a guide, and it is up to you to do whatever it takes to get sober. You have to be willing to go to any length to get it. That's why a lot of people don't stay sober it's because they don't want to do the work and would rather tell everyone what's wrong instead of getting honest with themselves and taking a deep look within. I love river oaks and it was a crucial part for me and my recovery. I bring a meeting in there every Monday if I can and its over an hour drive to get there from where I live. I am grateful for river oaks and the seed they planted for me. I can go on and on about how much better my life is today, but I will stop and just say this. If you are wondering if this is a good place to go to rehab the answer is YESSSSS.
