In the 6.5 years I've been working here, I can honestly say that I truly enjoy working for American Village. It is a wonderful community to work for with a warm & inviting culture - our Executive Director and department head staff go out of their way for employee morale days and making sure the employees get the recognition and appreciation they deserve. Nurses aids completely suck! My grandmother was there for almost a month and her experience was horrible. When family came to visit they did their job but when nobody was there they were disrespectful and demeaning to my grandmother...Not all the aids but most of them. They were very lazy and didn’t want to help her with simple things...like wiping herself. She was already embarrassed at the fact she had to ask and then when asking they made her feel horrible about it. IF YOUR HEART ISN’T IN LOVING YOUR JOB AND HELPING PEOPL... read more
