He served in the Air Force for 33 years as a jet engine mechanic and production controller, earning five Commendation Medals, two Achievement Medals, and a Meritorious Service Medal, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Production Management. Retiring from the Air Force in September 2018, Troy moved to Merritt Island, Florida, and built a new home there.
