I was very disappointed. I called at 8:05 am and said my dog had an emergency. They said I couldn't have an appointment until the next day. I explained again that it was an emergency. They told me he couldn't be seen before the next day. They told me to take him to an emergency vet.. Since it was 8:10 am on a Thursday I called Animal Health Center on Bee Ridge Rd. My dog was scheduled to have a simple SMALL skin tag removed. When we picked him up, the incision was HUGE and not stitched properly. The reason I know the incision was WAY to big and it was stitched improperly is because my husband is a surgeon. My dog was in pain and distraught for 3 WEEKS and would not come out of my closet. I can't imagine what she does with a more serious surgery-what a nightmare for a simple SMALL skin tag and it was expensive also. Do not use this office.
This clinic has not been the same since Dr. N's passing. The front desk ladies are both rude. Dr. N had taken care of 3 of my dogs in including a 100 lb pitbull, He held his staff with the upmost care for pets as he did. I called on Thursday because I wanted to make sure Ilene was working so that she could trim my cat's claws. I was told she is off on Thursday. My original review was removed somehow. I took my kitty to this clinic for 12+ years. The staff and the technicians were great but, Dr. Lantry misdiagnosed my kitty for 3 months! For 3 months he was suffering and lost 4 lbs. because even tho his symptoms were clearly Pancreatitis-like, she ordered all tests but, not the Pancreatitis test. This clinic has the worst ethics we have ever experienced in a vet. Rude, heartless and total disrespect when we reached out because we had to put our dog down. Ended up going somewhere else......a loving and caring alternative for his last moments with us.
