Get directionsMarietta (2nd floor)- staff rude and certainly not top notch. There was one person who used great AIDET skills (scheduler- young blonde girl who made my appt after the visit. MA seemed undereducated, rushed me during history and discharge (Pam). Dr. Longacre- aloof, rushed, dry, and could seemingly care less. She gave no advice, recommendations for my gut concerns, and answered zero questions. Just ordered a test. Colonoscopy- different staff (1st floor) check-in person extremely unkempt. Nurse who started my IV (called hers... read more
I’ve been seeing Dr Longacre for years, first for my needed colonoscopy and later for treatment of anemia. I was recently admitted to hospital for my anemia and Dr Longacre came out to y see me, and schedule in hospital testing that she oversaw. I love that she is always willing to answer all my questions and set me at ease.
I WOULD GIVE HER ZERO STARS. AS THE OTHER PATIENT SAID IN THE RECENT TIMES, SHE IS COLD AND INDIFFERENT , HAS NO BEDSIDE MANNER, SHE TRIES ONLY TO SELL OTHER PROCEDURES/OPERATIONS -DOES NOT ACCEPT QUESTIONS AND SHE RUSHES OUT OF THE ROOM, TALKING AS SHE WALKS OUT, BUT YOU CAN'T HEAR HER. I ONLY WENT TO HER BECAUSE MY DOCTOR DR WEHBI DIED THE SAME WEEK AND THE OFFICE GAVE ME HER. I HAD TO GET AN OK FROM HER FOR THE OPERATION, BUT SHE REFUSED TO DO IT UNLESS I WENT TO HER OFFICE AND HAD HER TEST DONE FIRST, I AM 80 AND HAD BRE... read more
She seemed annoyed to even be there...annoyed when you asked a question and never followed up after a procedure or returned a phone call. Her medical assistant was just as annoyed when you called with questions..took 3 days to return a call...would absolutely not recommend...so many other better Drs in this practice
The same thing happen to me, not for one visit, but every visit where testing was required I asked twice for medicine to be called in 2 different visits, never called them in. I was also had to talk to her office manager about a test result that the staff would not call me back. Office manager guarantee someone would call me back today, before we hung up, I verified with her that someone would call me back today and she said yes. Well, no one call be back that day. I had to go thru the operator to get to live person at 4:30,... read more
I made a same day appointment with this available doctor due to stomach pains. She ordered some rush testing and I was on my way for blood work and a scan. After leaving I realized that I had received no instructions on treatment in the meantime, no follow up appointment, etc. You get a better listing of do’s and don’ts and suggestions when leaving a minute clinic. After 3 calls back to the office and pressing I received some more information and that I could ‘go along with whatever I had planned for my day’.... I had a feve... read more
Was very disappointed with my visit. She spent less than 10 minutes in the room. Quick to want to prescribe medication. Didn’t seem concerned with medical history before talking of 2 medical procedures. Discussed dates for doing these in the lower level of building. 5 minutes after leaving room, medical assistant came in with a card from Welstar pertaining to a different procedure that she had not mentioned to me. I requested discussing it with her. After waiting another 20 minutes while she was seeing 2 other patients, I de... read more
I am an OR RN; I researched GI doctors in the Acworth area for my brother who has had cancer of the colon twice. His colorectal surgeon wanted him to get an upper scope. Dr. Longacre trained at Yale where I worked and which is a "mecca" so one would have thought this doctor was well trained. My brother shows up for the upper scope, he's sitting there in his hospital gown when Dr Longacre expresses confusion, says she wanted him to have a specific type of upper which she doesn't do. The reason she never bothered to contact hi... read more
My 18 y/o daughter has severe anxiety and it took me months to get her to see someone for her ongoing GI issues. At her request, I accompanied her to this appointment. When I began to explain some of my daughter’s history, Dr. Longacre immediately told me that I needed to be quiet and let my daughter speak for herself or she would ask me to leave the room. My daughter was so agitated by the tension she forgot most of her questions and then proceeded to hyperventilate and pass out in the lab.
