After Mohs surgery in Dec of 2019 with Dr Harrington his surgery left vascular scarring on my face. He did acknowledge this and said he would repair these issues. After 2.5 years of phone calls, text messages and in person appointments he finally said he would not do any repairs. Please take this into consideration before you book any Mohs appointment with this "Dr".
Terrible experience with her. Never met a doctor so disinteresting in her patient. She spoke very fast and unclear. My initial visit with her was only 5 minutes long, she rushed me out. Did not even look at my skin, I had to ask "don't you want to look at my skin irritation?" Hope I don’t have any serious problems because I will never know from the exam (or non-exam) she gave me.
I was seen by her and 4 other people for about 3 minutes. I had researched my condition prior to my appointment, so I was full of knowledge and products I had begun using. We never spoke of my issue, she just said you have __ , and said she was e-scripting a prescription to my pharmacy and that was that. Now I'm full body infested with my issue! ** I say don't blow people off that know what they are talking about.
Bad business with PA Smyth. I made an appointment after confirming not once but TWICE that they performed the service I needed. Turns out she does not provide that and after a 10 minute chat about how she does not do that she sent me a bill for about $100. I went back and forth with the office manager standing as the middle man between the PA and I. Terrible!
She was 45 minutes late to my appointment, spent three minutes doing a “full body” screening, took some samples and left. Felt like she was in a rush to get out of the room. Didn’t call with my results-got a letter in the mail. Would not recommend.
Bad experience postop. Had single layer MOHs on my face. Called within 1 week postop concerned that it was infected - was told “use warm compresses”, requested an appointment and was refused. Called back 1 week later - same story. Incision became abscessed- had to see a different surgeon for the proper follow-up care. Made me feel like my problems weren't important, didn't take the time to be clear, and explain things thoroughly. I felt rushed and that my feelings and worries dismissed. When I explained that what was going on was not properly explained to me I just got a print out handed to me from a medical Wikipedia that anyone could get themselves at home, that didn't exactly even match up what I was being told. Very robotic, doesn't seem caring or interested in helping, just getting you through the door. Did not tell me what to expect after my last follow-up, and provided me no information on how to take care of my scar or what I could have done to help it.
