Worst experience of my life, Montemurro failed to treat an infection correctly following surgery & I nearly lost my foot as a result. Long and terrible story. I am so grateful to my family physician for intervening, admitting me & bringing in an infection specialist. I was on IVs for 3 weeks after discharge, 3 debridements, 9 mos later still dealing with it and more surgery to come. I would NEVER recommend this guy for anything if there's a chance of a complication. Certainly not infections
I went to Dr. Montemurro recommended by someone else. He is very pleasant, but he did a terrible job on my toes. He told me they would heal within about two months, but they did not. It's been close to a year and the toes still hurt. The one toe nail is split, and catches on my socks. I had gone back and he said...oh the nail will probably grow out all the way in about nine months, but sometimes they still have this on it! I couldn't believe it. I would never have another procedure done by him
If I could rate him with no stars I would. Very professional in the beginning but since something went wrong with my surgery he refuses to see me, look at MRI, plus he won't speak to me. Very unethical!!
