As much as I hate to do this, I want to share my disappointment in the fact Appletree Cove did not even take the effort to call me back. My dog was in a crisis medical situation overnight and I called first thing this morning about 30 minutes before opening I left a message asking them to call me back so I could bring him in. Never did hear back from them. Took him to a different animal clinic in Poulsbo where he will now become a regular customer as well as all three of my other pets. I have been at apple tree cove for over 5 years and am extremely disappointed with the care I received during the pandemic. I have two cats who need their next round of shots. One of which has extreme anxiety (noted in their file) to where if I even move the furniture around in my house she gets an eye infection this is from having cat herpes. I found worms on my kitty and was feeling very uneasy about it, I called and left a message Thursday pm, they called me at 8am the next morning. I asked if they could get me in, they said they would try. A surgery came in that needed their attention so I was asked to reschedule. I told the receptionist I was so worried and very uneasy about not treating my cat til the following week and exposing the others in my house. My Husky puppy has been a patient at Apple Tree Cove for a few months now. Before today I had nothing but praise to sing. However after today I will no longer be returning for their care. During my puppy’s nail trimming - which admittedly did terrify her - they muzzled her. They technicians told me it was not due to biting but barking and permission (which I wouldn’t have allowed) was definitely not asked beforehand. The muzzling didn’t anger me most. I will never go to another vet if I can help it! Everyone there loves their job and treats your pets like their own.
