I have been at apple tree cove for over 5 years and am extremely disappointed with the care I received during the pandemic. I have two cats who need their next round of shots. One of which has extreme anxiety (noted in their file) to where if I even move the furniture around in my house she gets an eye infection this is from having cat herpes. Dont be greedy .Complete waste of time dealing with them just like everyone warned me about them.
I found worms on my kitty and was feeling very uneasy about it, I called and left a message Thursday pm, they called me at 8am the next morning. I asked if they could get me in, they said they would try. A surgery came in that needed their attention so I was asked to reschedule. I told the receptionist I was so worried and very uneasy about not treating my cat til the following week and exposing the others in my house. My Husky puppy has been a patient at Apple Tree Cove for a few months now. Before today I had nothing but praise to sing. However after today I will no longer be returning for their care. During my puppy’s nail trimming - which admittedly did terrify her - they muzzled her. They technicians told me it was not due to biting but barking and permission (which I wouldn’t have allowed) was definitely not asked beforehand. The muzzling didn’t anger me most. I will never go to another vet if I can help it! Everyone there loves their job and treats your pets like their own.
EDIT: We will never be back. The way they treated Dr. Strochmyer was unacceptable. I love the setting for Apple tree, but to ask the Dr. To change her way of treating patients because she takes too long, shows that it's nothing but a money hungry business to me. And the whole reason we came to Apple Tree Cove was because of the compassion we were shown by her. Won't be back. Which is too bad because it is a nice place. The absolute best vet!! We love Dr. Strohmeyer!! Her compassion towards animals is great!!
