I went to Arts and Crafts Dental a couple times and the claims were billed to the insurance and paid as participating. Then my husband needed 2 crowns and right in the middle of it, after Dr. Linehan put on the temporary crowns he wanted $2700.00 up front. He paid him thinking the insurance would pay and we’d get a refund. I looked and on past EOBs our responsibility was less than $400 for a crown so I called to ask him why so much. Dishonest billing practices. The actual dental work is fine. My wife and I used to have Humana insurance and Dr. Young used to be in network. When we switched to a different insurance we told the office right away. Dr. Young was not in network with the new insurance. They did not tell us about that change until a year later, and only when I asked why our bill was so high. The billing person, Avril, was rude to me.
