I rarely leave negative reviews, but after living here for well over a year, I genuinely feel obligated to warn anyone considering signing a lease. When I moved in, I was told the pool would be completed by July. It is now almost another July, and it is still nowhere close to being finished. In over a year of living here, I have not had access to a single amenity that was advertised and included in the rent I pay. Residents continue paying premium prices for a building that has been in a constant state of construction with n... read more
Business response:
Good afternoon Natalie, I am very sorry to hear of the issue you’ve experienced at The Atrium. Unfortunately, the broker misspoke regarding the outdoor pool being open this year as that was in fact not scheduled nor planned. As for the construction schedule itself - admittedly it can be somewhat confusing. We had run into problems immediately after the project started due to the COVID-19 pandemic which resulted in issues with both construction staff and supplies/materials. As for completing one section and moving onto the ne... read more
Location is everything. Apartments are not luxury as advertised. The majority of the maintenance and security service is nothing short of incompetent, unfriendly and rude. Packages are often returned. The fundamental problem is lack of quality staffing from Security to Maintenance. They truly lack respect for the tenants. AS a parent paying this bill we recently spent a weekend there and must say we agree with many of the prior reviews. They would not even allow us to have a spare key and we foot the bill !!!!!!! They wil... read more
This apartment sucks. AC's been not working for two weeks, it's burning hot in our apartment and there's no way I can study or actually sleep. Also there's one security guy being an ULTIMATE asshole all the time and this is a problem that would never be fixed since the company would not fire him even when various tenants report him. I see no point of paying $3,700 a month for living in such conditions.
Business response:
Nami, It has been brought to my attention by the Property Coordinator for the Atrium that you are not currently on a lease there. This is the reason why the security guard makes you sign in with ID every time you enter the building. This is an important part of building security. You have been provided with the necessary paperwork to sign a lease and once it is complete, we can provide you with key access so you will not have to stop at the security desk anylonger. We would be happy to put in a work order for the A/C fo... read more
Lived here for a few years until June 2016. First thing to understand is this is NOT a luxury building, its more like a student dorm. There are only 2 good things of this building: location and the fact the units are nice. The building is near BU, next to a supermarket, close to restaurants and bars, with MBTA Green line close. The Apartments are nicer than the classic old units, plus AC. In addition, the building has a lobby with a security guard (NOT CONCIERGE). * * * THE BAD PART * * *: The management SUCKS!! The security... read more
I created an account to just write you the true review. Those five star reviews are jokes, don't trust them! I have been living in atrium for about 6 month and I have to say that the service here is horrible! My roommate got home around 9:00 p.m. yesterday and he is trying to move some stuff into our apartment from the parking area. The security guy stops him at the elevator and ask him for the ID with a really bad attitude. Notice only the tenant can have the access to the parking area, why the hell he asks my roommate for ... read more
I have been living here for 2 years. The location is pretty good, but the management is the worst and one of the securities is annoying and mean. It takes a long time for them to fix things and it will break again. The price is extremely high and it's getting higher and higher with bad condition of the service. Some of the rules are weird, for example, you cannot have over ten people in your apartment, etc. Definitely have to ask people who had been living here before you move in.
Definitely a place to consider if you are willing to drop about 1200 a month on rent!! The Pros: -AC, AC, AC!!! -access to a pool -laundry machines within the building -personal balconies -security guards in the lobby (good or bad depending on your view, they can be annoying at times) The cons: -honestly, just expensive. Not the prettiest, but with the right furniture can be made into something really nice.
I am a post-graduate full-time worker, and I have lived at the Atrium for 7 months. The most appealing aspects of the Atirum is its location. The apartment building is right at the Packard's Corner subway stop on the Green Line B-Train, and the 57 bus also stops right across the street. There is plenty of good places to eat in the neighborhood, and the Star Market next door, which is open 24/7 (!), is superb. The Commonwealth Sports Club located on the ground level is a great gym, and residents of the Atrium only pay $25... read more
I lived at The Atrium for 4 years and overall it was good. The good: Convenient to supermarkets, public transportation, Storrow Drive, and Mass Pike. Also within walking distance (in the summer, at least) of Coolidge Corner and Fenway Park. Also, there's a free outdoor pool, an in-house full-service gym (membership required), and garaged parking. The bad: The occupants are like 90% college students, so it feels like a dorm sometimes. The pool gets noisy in the summer, and if your unit is next to a party apartment, good luck.... read more
