Not bad at all.
Lovely atmosphere, best octopus I’ve ever had, great cocktails and friendly, attentive service.
We love Bacchus! Love how far the tables are apart and how intimate it feels. Staff was excellent & friendly.
Wonderful staff, food and service. I was only disappointed that I saw other people celebrating birthdays that evening and when I made the reservation I informed it was my husbands birthday that night. It was acknowledged verbally but I saw others with a dessert and a little more celebration. So a little Dissatisfied with that aspect
Samantha and Annie were fantastic servers. Knowledgeable about all the menu items and wines. The sommelier chose really nice wines that balanced and paired well with my meal but I would have loved if he brought them and explained his choices. The food was excellent. Every dish was balanced and seasoned to perfection. The only slight criticism is I think the Mille feulle was made a little sooner than it should have been so unfortunately the pastry was soggy. The flavor was beautiful though so it made up for it.
I’ve always come back to Bacchus for the food and excellent service. But, for the first time our service was horrible. It took them an hour to find the bottle of wine we ordered, the servers forgot our order on multiple occasions and charged the wrong amount on our credit card ( which took us another half hour to find or server and have her fix it ). You don’t go to Bacchus for service like this. In spite of having two people serve us nothing went in a timely fashion and right. It was a very disappointing evening especially ... read more
Why didn’t they just rename it? Food is good. They remodeled and completely changed the menu. Definitely doesn’t deliver on the name “Bacchus” with wine list that’s basically very short list of restaurant only white label. Cocktail list is ABA classics. Bright white garish deco with 90s pop rock blaring is an interesting experience. This would have been fire in 1990s SoHo. It’s basically a throwback to the 90s Applebees Pick 3 menu but fancy and grown up. Fish, ribs, or steak… 😂 My date said “this is a place you bring your ... read more
Wonderful environment! First date! Nice experience. I would definitely return.
At first we were surprised it was not busy at all for a Friday night. We were seated in the larger dining room. It was bright and white, with contemporary music. The menu options are a 3 course or 5 course set menu, small portions. The first 3 courses arrived timely. Service was good. 4th course took over 30 minutes, the lull, without drinks was noticeable, server brought champagne and apologized for hiccup in kitchen. Again, good service. Food was good, but not memorable.
