The brunch meals are amazing!
Super cute place with a. Lovey menu and delicious food
Bear Den is quiet and quaint. Counter, dine-in, and outside dining are available. Reservations are needed for seated service. Menu offers quite a bit from light pastry bites to full breakfast/brunch options. The Bloody Mary was delicious--the dill in the mix was exceptional and perfect change of pace. Heads up: service is slow so best not to be in a hurry.
We had heard about this place last time we were in Aspen. We never got a chance tinted it. This time we drove in for the day and luckily, with all of the Covid restrictions, we were able to grab a table for brunch. Two of us had the sashimi tuna stir fry. AMAZING! And one of us had the version of a breakfast burrito. Also delicious. We asked for bread and butter and it too was delicious. Not sure what they put in the butter. So good!!
This restaurant was closed when we arrived. Poor planning on this restaurants part. Won't make a reservation here again
Bear Den Aspen is closed for the off season. We had a reservation for a special occasion on a Friday night. Nobody let us know they were closed. Very disappointed in the lack of communication.
Worst service I have ever experienced in my entire life. The hostess was incredibly snooty and rude, and our waiter was abysmal. I felt bad because he didn’t really seem to speak English, but I don’t think that excuses all of his faults. I could go on a rant because just about everything went wrong, but the craziest thing was he tried to deliver an appetizer we didn’t order to us TWICE! The wait staff seemed to by trying but they appeared frazzled despite the lack of busyness. Our server didn’t know what ingredients were in my dish and failed to bring a shell bowl leaving us to use a used cocktail glass for mussel shells. We were surprised by the lack of service and attention given the high reviews and also this is Aspen. The food and location were great.
The food just isn’t that great. Everything else is wonderful.
