As both an employee and a parent, I am honored to be a fabulous Bergamo Montessori community member. When our family moved to Sacramento, Bergamo welcomed us with open arms. The administrators and teachers genuinely love their students and strive to provide an authentic Montessori experience each day. The two years my daughter spent in the Elementary program before she graduated were hugely impactful and irreplaceable - I am forever grateful!
Laura, the director of Bergamo Montessori School on Pocket Rd., is exceptional. I had the privilege of working under her direction for 6 months. The interview process went smoothly. I felt welcomed and comfortable from the moment I first stepped foot into the school as I was greeted by the secretary and other teachers. The care and devotion that the employees have for each child's overall development is inspiring. The director made sure to check in on the teachers and their classrooms often. Her door was always open to discu... read more
We've had the best experience with our two sons at Montessori Country Day over the last five years. MCD is a small, diverse community of friendly and caring teachers, staff and families. I was not very familiar with the structure of Montessori education prior to starting MCD, but now am a full believer of its benefits to a young child's learning and development as a caring, independent individual. Bad school I had bad experience one of the teachers put her big legs in my daughter body . They protect their teachers and the parents never know what is happening at school. Be careful with your children's
As parents, I think it's fair to say that part of the gig is wondering if you're getting it right. Like, constantly. One of the few things I'm certain of on this child-rearing journey is our decision to not only to attend Bergamo, but to stay beyond our initial expectations into the elementary years. We came to Bergamo through a neighbor. After multiple interactions with a young brother and sister that live on our street, I knocked on their door to ask their parent(s) what the secret was. My daughter was a toddler at the ti... read more
It's a sh*tshow. Teachers aren't great, but are finally getting rid of some Director needs direction.
I'm not sure what happened to my reviews because I was never informed that they were being deleted. My first review mentioned how disorganized their job interview process was. Both times I applied. Based on those reviews I received a call today from the Executive Director to get details. He said he'd address the situation with the individuals involved which I appreciated.
Was told by Sylvia that I wasn't to bring my child on tour even though the emails never stated otherwise. It invites you to the tour with follow up and reminders. Then she said this location and rush river location are booked up until 2025. All these said before the tour really just she didn't want to give us a tour ... plus we are not an all white family so that probably affected her behavior
