I have a complex abdominal hernia. Dr. Towfigh gave me a physical examination and went over my MRI with me. She showed me all the hernia sites and explained how the reconstructive surgery should go. Unfortunately I don't have the insurance that she takes for the surgery. DR. Towfigh recommended a surgeon that does take my insurance who also is a friend of hers, excellent, now that's in process. I rarely ever ever write reviews. Only when I think my experience would be extremely useful to other people. I could not be more pleased by the Towfigh team from the start to my first 3 weeks after surgery. I had Dr Towfigh mesh removal from a bad reaction to a (sub par) inguinal hernia mesh done with a doctor in Miami. My interaction with Dr. Towfigh began with an online consultation in December 2018. I had a condition that I thought might be related to bad hernia mesh dating back to 2007. She wanted all my medical notes for 2 years prior when I saw 6 other family doctors, surgeons, and neurologists--with no answers. While I was upset at first about the cost of an appointment and behaved like a child, she has been so incredibly helpful, you cannot put a price on that. This is the person you want to fix your hernias. Take this from someone who has had them and dealt with an array of OTHER doctors.

I wasted a year going to other Doctors. I wish I just went to her first and saved myself all the pain, time and money. She is the best. I absolutely love her. I feel like she saved my life. She is so responsive and always there to help. I am 7 days out from her surgery and I can kiss the ground she walks on. I had 7 other abdominal surgeries. Her's was unlike all the others and she did WAY more work WAY MORE... Im not sure what she does so differently but there is a clear reason why she is where she is in here field/ career ... read more

I've had two hernias repaired with Dr. Towfigh. One umbilical and one inguinal. I come back to her specifically in spite of residing in Seattle now as she was the only one able to diagnose and fix my inguinal hernia. The ultrasound technician she sent me to showed me exactly what we were looking at during my appointment with him and she as well as her staff were very thorough before and after the procedure as well. The highest praise for Dr. Towfigh! Across three complex surgeries, she has provided top care, addressing problems no other surgeon would consider. She listens, provides straight answers, responds immediately (I am out of state) - always respecting my concerns/questions/requests. Above all, she is extraordinarily competent and experienced. An outspoken advocate for my own health, I have crossed paths with lots of medical professionals. Never have I encountered anyone as fine as Dr. Towfigh.
