Military friendly place! Great service, good food and 50% off for active duty in uniform! Quiet and clean, it's a regular spot for me when I'm in Alpena.

The staff at this restaurant have to be some of the nicest people I have ever met. I have had the pleasure of having the server Grace-Ann several times and each time was as pleasant as the last. The good itself is reminiscent of "Shoney's" or "Denny's" but without the food poisoning. You can get breakfast or lunch all day and everything came out presentable as well as edible. Well, looks like nothing has changed! Feel free to look up my previous review. Here's another one! Ordered DoorDash ordered a Slim Jim, wet, soggy, nasty and disgusting, fried shrimp dinner equally soggy! It's nice to see the big boys consistently horrible! We all know what to expect.

Friday night we were sitting in the restaurant with jelly as our server ( one if the best servers we have ever had) She offered to make us shakes and recommended the seafood buffet. It was extremely busy and she handled it with grace. Our experience was very pleasant until the end. When I say I have never seen a more unprofessional manager in my life. Unfortunately, because we live in a small town, we have very limited choices for restaurants so let's talk about the big boy on Ripley Boulevard in Alpena, Michigan. Went to get my take out which was ready. Soup chilling on the customer counter under no heat lamps. I couldn't check out even though 3 girls walked by me. Apparently I had to wait for the choose one that never showed up. It wasn't till I asked for the manager did someone finally check me out. I'm so but customer service sucks.

Was in town and came for breakfast. The breakfast menu is really tiny now. It was not great, it was not good, it was not even mediocre, it was just bad. My omlette was a plate of grease with hard, cold toast. I got a mini glass of water. The coffee was fine. My kid's waffle was underdone and his bacon was in crispy pieces. The interior has not changed really since the late 1980's. DO not go here.

Literally the worst meal and experience in dining I have ever had. My side salad had a dead worm or bug sticking out of the core of lettuce that was in it when showing the waitress she just giggled .
