This is the worst place!! Do not send your sick detoxing loved ones there. They are co-Ed and DO NOT do the simplest task of keeping patients safe from each other. After being brought in near death (four narcan treatments on they way) and completely unaware of surroundings my child was placed in the NON care of blue ridge where upon the first night there and was instantly preyed upon resulting in a grandchild that neither addicted parent is ready mentally emotionally financially or spiritually - not to mention this was the ... read more

I thought long and hard about this, but I feel I need to be forthcoming. The place has potential, but they treat you like a child. Will verify who you are talking to by hitting redial on the phone, make accusations that you are planning something sneaky, and if you disagree with something on your treatment plan regarding your life, they will call your family and tell on you and cause conflict. Trying to save your life? Possibly. But the place is one long Aa/na meeting. They’re going to make you clean everyday and call it acc... read more

I absolutely do not recommend this center. My husband has been struggling with alcoholism for 9+ years. Due to their lack of rules and monitoring my husband has an affair with another patient within a couple days… his lack of better judgement for the best of him and ended up leaving treatment early… he has now relapsed and has now put his next treatment in jeopardy due to him being in the military. Allowing addicts to be vulnerable together and roam freely like they did….. going for runs alone resulting in affairs is not the... read more

It’s a good place to dry out for 5 weeks, but that’s about it. Basically, you go to 5-7 meetings per day (which is ENTIRELY too many...talk about redundancy), eat, smoke, and hang out with the other inmates. As soon as you get out of detox, get ready for them to start bullying you (and your family) into spending lots of $$ on aftercare programs. They actually have reps from these places come in and do sales pitches. It’s disgusting. So, if you want to dry out for 5 weeks, this is a good place to do it. But, if you actua... read more

Beautiful setting, but sadly lacks professional service. Family counseling service consists of ONE group therapy session that includes a dozen other clients and their families. (Yes, all together!) Also, Blue Ridge decides what family members attend, not the client. As far as regular counseling service, it really doesn’t exist. Basically Blue Ridge treatment consists of all day long AA meetings led by unqualified, newly sober staff.

THEY WILL LITERALLY DROP OFF YOUR LOVED ONE IN A WALMART PARKING LOT WITH NO PHONE AND ALL OF THEIR CLOTHES THAT THEY BROUGHT. DO NOT LEAVE TOWN IF YOUR LOVED ONE IS IN THIS PLACE.... AS YOU MIGHT ONLY HAVE AN HOUR OR SO TO PICK THEM UP BEFORE THEY ARE DUMPED OUT IN CANTON.
