Great outside table, awesome service and fantastic foo
Emily was amazing!! My son's shrimp and grits were the best ever. The brussels sprouts my husband ordered and my fish dip were delicious. The donuts make a great brunch appetizer. We can't wait to come back.
Overall Boca was an ok experience. The hostess seemed quite irritated we were a smidge (15 min) early for our reservation and that she had to “rearrange” some things. It was not the most positive first impression. In contrast, our server was kind and made suggestions when asked and clearly knew the menu well. Really enjoyed our brunch at Boca's. It was Mothers Day so restaurant was crowded, but even then the service was excellent. Food was outstanding--- the trio of 3 different Benedicts was superb, as was the biscuits and gravy. Upbeat and lively place so noise level was high, but we still had no problems holding a conversation. Will definitely be back.
The food was good, but the service was slow, and some menu items were either not delivered or delivered twice. We had a large party, but no one seemed to be assigned to our table. I had to get down and go ask for someone just to bring water. We were not in a hurry, which was good. I doubt I'll be back anytime soon.
We were seated in a timely manner. It took about 10 minutes for a server to come over and while the restaurant was quite busy, a word or intro at some point would have been helpful. The restaurant definitely is “energetic” on a Saturday at 2pm. The food was good, not great - the sausage gravy was overwhelmingly flavored with liquid smoke. Food runners were great.
We had a big group and they did a wonderful job of getting the drinks, appetizers, and meals out at the right times. The mussels appetizer was outstanding. The only thing we didn’t like was the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was too smoky. Not everything needs to be edgy and re-invented. The noise level was pretty loud and made it challenging to talk if you weren’t right next to the person. It’s got a hipster, I want to be seen vibe, but the food was good.
Abby was incredible. She took care of our group expertly.
The service and salads were amazing - will definitely return for Dinner!
