Flatbread good The lobster bisque was very bland and literally white. I searched for lobster on the bottom. None- Honestly the most tasteless I’ve ever had! I would have said something, except I had a young guest with me!
It’s ok but not great. They were out of the 2 things I wanted.
Poke bowl is great as usual!
I had the salmon teriyaki special. Perfectly done. But waitress pushed extra courses (appetizers, dessert) too aggressively. Did not have friendly, relaxed vibe. By 9:30pm, staff seemed to want us to exit, even though we were having a lovely reunion with old friends.
I've eaten here many times, but this was not the best night. Service was below their usual standard. It was a cold night, and the restaurant itself was very cold. And while three of the things we ordered were great, one main entree was not quite hot. It was warm, and delicious, but not hot. All told, I like this place a lot and will keep coming back, but on this night the restaurant was just fine, as opposed to its usual awesome.
Boca is a consistently good restaurant. Everyone in my group of four ordered different things, and we were all very satisfied with our orders. I think the Chicken Milanese and the Guava Cheesecake were especially enjoyable.
Fried Green Tomatoes were excellent, can't say the say for the Ramen.
Granted this was the day after Christmas and they were busy but my guess is nothing would be different. Appetisers were good but the food is bland and flavourless. The lobster bisque especially was bland, every person at the table agreed at once. Not rushing back.
Chicken was overcooked, very dry. Server was initially not so good but then he turned it around and was very pleasant. I can't say I would highly recommend Boca to others. It was okay.
