Lunch was a treat with friend for birthday. A little disappointing, even though noted on reservation, not even a "Happy Birthday" was spoken by hostess or waitress. Appetizer of crispy calamari was spot on and enough for two. Combo of salad (first choice of salad was not available, but Kipos salad was a good substitute. Grandma's flat bread should have had more topping. The lunch portion of Shrimp and Grits should have been larger, more like appetizer size. We went with a large party and staff was very accommodating. Kitchen was able to get everything out in a timely manner.
Food took real long to come. Several options on the menu were unavailable.
It was very lovely but we were sat by the door and it was very warm inside!
I was seated promptly at my reservation time. Garrett took the time to answer all of my questions regarding the menu offerings. I ordered the pineapple mint Mojito, which was perfection. I ordered two. I am very picky with fried green tomatoes. Garrett and the chef insured they were crispy to perfection. The steak cut like butter.. the food came out hot and fresh. We live about 50 miles away so it is always a treat to go to such a fantastic restaurant and with amazing chefs , I love experiencing new foods.
Four very happy and full-filled people! Four delicious meals. My shrimp and grits dinner was amazing. The fried grits, yes fried, were the best I’ve ever had. And the service was exceptional, courtesy of our server Rachel! She went above and beyond to ensure we walked away happy and satisfied. We’ll back back. Soon!
We were going to be late, called, had our reservation rescheduled, arrived to good seating outside and great service and food!
