This is a great restaurant ... the only thing negative is the upstairs is warm ... if they could fix that all would be perfect! Staff was great. This was my first visit to this location ... I have eaten at the Tampa location many times and it is equally as good! Try it out I think you will like it.
This has been one of favorites in sarasota and I was excited to bring my friends. The food was quite good and our server was terrific. However, the air conditioner was not working on the second level where we were seated. When we asked the manager about the situation, she shrugged her shoulders and said it was the best she could do. On a summer night in Florida, a broken AC makes for an unpleasant dining experience. Excellent addition to the Sarasota FOODIE scene. A little noist BUT food makes up for this. Very friendly service ( expensive wine list. Needs to be re-evaluated )
We had a lovely evening with friends. The good was excellent, the ambiance and service were also very good. The only thing I would comment on were the chairs. I noticed several different styles and most looked much more comfortable than the padded metal chairs we were seated on. But they were okay
Unbelievable food and service. My only comment in the negative is that we were seated upstairs against the back wall and the room temperature was really hot and very uncomfortable. Will always request downstairs seating in the future but will be back!
Great location downtown - walked to the Music Festival after dinner. The service was really awesome - loved all of our shared appetizer , especially the fried green tomatoes! Salad is literally cut fresh off of the vertical garden wall! The plates came out in a timely manner - which we appreciated since we had 8 pm concert tickets. Only little disappointment was my snapper special which for some reason was a little tough. We will definitely try it again though.
Now that things have quieted down, we decided to check this restaurant out. Overall it is a great addition to downtown downtown dining. Slight wait for them to get table ready, but otherwise service was spot on. We both enjoyed our meals. Portion size on the short rib was a wee bit small but the dish itself was melt in you mouth perfect. Also no issues with subbing grits - OH MY the grits!!! Great trendy restaurant. Food was really good. Service was outstanding. Bathroom clean. Must try. You won't be sorry.
