After over 20 years of misdiagnosis and incorrect courses of treatments, Dr. Matthys diagnosed me correctly with Duhring's Disease. I feel so fortunate to have found him and I'm so happy he is my dermatologist. It goes without saying, but yes, I highly recommend him.
Initial meeting went well and scheduled multiple treatment appointments, but several times no physician present so appointment got cancelled, but was not notified until I got to the office. I wasted a lot of time and money and finally gave up on this office due to cancellations without notice. Lack of office management and patient concern was an issue that forced me to seek medical care elsewhere.
I was a new patient being seen for skin cancer. I was left waiting for more than 40 minutes. The biopsy was positive, the scar from the incision looks like a railroad track some 5 + years later. The office staff seemed more interested in selling me their line of lotions and potions and medi spa treatments than treating my skin cancer. Bedside manner was poor-very arrogant! He was extremely rude because I did not fill out the questions about hobbies.

Dr. Matthew did fine at explaining my medical needs, however, I felt like there was lot of pressure to spend extra money and schedule uneccessary appointments. It began to feel like they were only interested in me for money.
