Needed to get a new lid and one for my work mate from Orlando. They have a nice selection that are not too expensive for the Floridian here visiting. We ended up getting the same hat. We took a picture at a customers location and our Marketing team loved it so much, they posted it all over the socials. The folks at Cavender's were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them if you are in the Stock Yards.
Business response:
Hello, Jack. Nothing beats happy customers! Thanks for shopping with us—we’re glad you had a great visit.
Worked with Preston in the hat section. What a professional young man. Honesty and integrity are often in short supply but not with him. Thank you.

Hello, K. Nothing beats happy customers! Thanks for shopping with us—we’re glad you had a great visit.
Today, as soon as I walked in to the mens boot / hat area, Mike asked if he could help me. Mike spent time explaining what hats for for what use, how to properly take care of them (rest upside down - keeps the form, no rain and dont keep in a HOT car) and how to store them (with sliver of Irish spring soap, keeps the critters away). Mile helped me fine the right hats and formed them they way I liked them (squared on front), thanks Mike for that! Above that, I mentioned I needed boots and he easily found the style, form, fit,... read more
The store has a good selection of clothes and boots. Personally I'd like to see the women's clothing section better lit and have more space. It was disorganized and tight. There's a giant boot room for the men's boots but the ladies section was slim. Probably wouldn't come back. Service was ok. We had no help but the counter guy was nice
We have four kids, and their feet are continually growing, which means we have no idea at any given time what their shoe sizes are. My 12-year-old son just crossed into men's sizes, and we were a bit lost on where to start! HUGE thanks to Landon (I'm pretty sure that was his name!), who spent over an hour helping us find the right boots for our kids. This is a great place to stop!
As a tourist visiting Texas for the first time, the Fort Worth Stockyards is place to stop at. You feel like being in an Old Western town. I wanted to buy a pair of cowboy boots and Cavender's was the first place I stopped at. Compared to places like Lucchese's, this place has boots that are on the affordable side. The first pair of boots that I tried on were the ones I ended up purchasing at the end of the day. I opted for suede instead of leather, since I was looking at them for more of a fashion statement. What I love abo... read more
Old western shoot em out ambience! This is a building wall to wall wood walls and ceilings. They carry all of the main brands, a bit on the pricy side, be it location or inflation, or a combination of the both. Staff is always kind and looking the part for the Stockyard experience, tho this store is a bit off of the main drag, tho still within walking distance. Worth a stop just to browse, tho for less expensive fare, it's worth going a few more miles away and hitting a shop not in a tourist trap area.
Great selection and Stephen took his time helping me find the boots that fit instead of getting me out of the store with any ole pair. Definitely went out of his way to accommodate my picky feet!
When in Ft. Worth, buy all the hats! Mike (manager) saw me carrying around a beautiful but misshaped hat. He saw it and didn't even hesitate. It's perfect now!
