Dr Jawien is always very patient and thorough. He answers everyone of our questions in very practical, understandable terms and always with a smile.
My oncologist for 15 years dealing with a significant melanoma and reoccurrences. Quality care, takes his time as needed. I actually enjoy his visits, knowing he tells it like it is with compassion. Very busy office, and reasonably remains on schedule....highly recommended

I regret the need to write this review. I was referred to Dr. Monson when I complained of sharp pain in my left shoulder. I told him I was having real difficulty sleeping. A day or so later, I was startled to learn that I had been scheduled for a dozen rounds of radiation therapy on the unexamined assumption that the pain I reported was caused by cancer cells settling in my bones. Just FYI, I have been a nurse for ten years so I have a pretty good understanding of how things run and how professional doctors should be. I have been to see him three times and have waited longer than an hour each time. Staff is nice but the doctor orders excessive amount of labs (probably so he can bill your insurance company) and does not explain results or rationalization of any of the lab work done. Would not recommend this physician to any of my family or friends.
