We're very happy with them. I would say the values gotta be pretty decent but we've never spend this kind of money before and its certainly more expensive than living at home. My mom just said she went out to a luau this past week and said she had a blast. She's going out to lunch a couple of times a week; now she's eating more meals than she's ever eaten before and she's really enjoying being there. Our loved one was there for two weeks for Respite care. Our loved one came directly from the hospital and we received a phone call saying our loved one had to leave due to their behavior. We then asked if they were giving them the medicine that came with from the hospital and they said no, and that they need to leave. There was also little assistance, and they tried to charge glass of water when we asked for it. In the beginning the friendliness of the staff members were very nice, however just not like that towards the end.
Horrible experience do not put a family member here also still billing my mom when she moved out in March.... [Name removed] the director does not respond to emails either.
So very disappointed in moms stay here. The biggest mistake we have made for her. Other than an activities director I can honestly say the staff did not take good care of mom at all. She had too much time with nothing to do. Activites canceled for various staffing reasons. Too much nothing time . Mom fell often. Slept with nothing to do on her couch mid day and slipped off to the coffee table. My family is not pleased with our experiences in this community. We feel they nickel, and dime us to get us into this community. There were promises made that they did not follow through with. They said there were aids to help her get used to the routine around the community, and they were never scheduled. She had no type of orientation with her move into the facility. With the level of care my mother needed, they were not there when the button was pushed, it took them a long time to get there, my mother felt that they weren't helping her at all but they really put on a show when I was there. Some of the people were nice, others were just going through the motions of doing their job. It was very, very basic and they always were nice when I talked to them but they didn't follow through with the things they said they would do. We left because 1.
