Our 20 year old (who is on the spectrum) needed oral surgery in preparation for braces. She ended up having 8 teeth (4 wisdom, 4 molars) pulled at one time (that was our choice), plus she needed an undescended canine exposed and tethered to existing brackets to help move it into place. Office staff provided a very friendly demeanor. The office was clean and pleasant. The Dr. made me feel comfortable with his explanation of my upcoming procedure and answered all my questions and concerns. I look forward to returning worry-free for my procedure.
My waiting room time was brief. The local anesthesia was very effective, as there was no pain when Dr. Scoggins drilled into my lower jaw, inserted the Stauman implant, and sutured the area. The entire procedure was relaxing and brief.
Dr. Scoggins is such an excellent example of a woman with expertise in the challenging field of oral surgery. What a fine example of woman empowerment she provides for her patients. She makes a nervous patient facing an implant feel secure and understood. I found myself appreciating her demeanor because she is gentle, kind, and compassionate.
