November 2022 I had Btox for wrinkles on my forehead. The injector suggested some around my eyes. I don't have crowsfeet but went ahead. I bruised badly, and 2 weeks later I noticed one eye was swollen/puffy underneath. I waited 3+ months for it to wear off but my eye is still swollen. I met with Dr. Jochen who used hyaluronidase. I was told the cost was $250.00 and was charged $350.00. It didn't work, and at a follow up appt. dr, jochen hit my undereye to remove a vein with a laser. after several tries the vein was not removed and i had a poached=egg undereye that needs surgery to fix.
New patient, and went for a consultation. It was not a proper or professional consultation. I got an office manager at a desk typing up prices while looking at my face from 6 feet away and making anecdotal aesthetic recommendations without any knowledge of my medical history. As well, I was told the only procedure the Dr. does is the blepharoplasty, and others you are given an NP they choose for you. She also spoke too quickly, and seemed irritated by my questions. Dr. Jochen performed cosmetic eye surgery on my eyes. It has been three years and my eyes still look great. He removed the excess skin on my eye lids and the fat pads under my eyes. I am sixty- three, but most people think I am fifty. His bed-side manner was fantastic. I chose not to have anesthesia . We had a conversation while he operated. He and his staff made me feel so at ease. If I didn't live in Canada I would be considering another procedure. Maybe when Covid isn't so scary! Thank you Dr. Jochen
Dr Jochen was recommended by a friend for his surgical skill. However, he was late for my medical appointment and brought in a bunch of strangers without asking permission while I sat in a flimsy hospital gown. I hadn't been asked if I would allow myself to be a teaching example and it wasn't comfortable. Jochen did a very cursory melanoma scan and didn't seem to care about the impression he made. I won't be going back.
made this appointment with Dr Jochen at Contour Dermatology several months in advance for 11:30 am on Oct 7th. I arrived at 11:15 am allowing extra time for any paperwork. The two staff people checking in patients were clearly overwhelmed by the sheer number of people arriving for their appointments. I waited in a line of 6. I am a new patient here. My review is more concerning the staff than Dr. Jochen. I really like him and I have confidence in him...HOWEVER and this is the issue, some of the office staff and assistants there to administer follow up as well as appointments etc.. need improvement. Unfortunately they have made my recent follow-ups, aftercare for surgery etc...not only confusing but very stressful. Not a good experience. No follow up after surgery. And be prepared to wit and wait and wait. Always at least a 45 minute wait.
I went to Dr Jochen'soffice for consultation , paid $100.00 to speak to the doctor. I never met the Dr Jochen, had an office manger go over all the details I wanted. The office manger gave me the costs and that was it for $100.00 Never saw the doctor, usually a consultation that you pay you get to meet the doctor and discuss what your thinking of doing. Very disappointed.
