DO NOT HIRE THIS LAW FIRM. I gave them a 3500 dollar retainer my case never went to trial so all my lawyer did was a little bit of paper work and drove 2 hours one time for littery ten min. After all this they tell me my retainer is used up and I owe them 8000 more dollars which I never agreed to not to mention I actually lost custody using them. My experience with this firm has been extremely disappointing. After nearly four years and over $60,000 spent on attorney and court fees, I feel like I've made no real progress in my case. One of the biggest issues has been the lack of communication. I was promised updates at least every two weeks, yet there were many times when I wouldn't hear anything for a month or even longer. I believe their tagline is "A a partner men can count on" which is so not true and an absolute joke. I would never recommend this firm to anyone about to go through a divorce. Save yourself some serious hassle and money and find another firm to represent you. You'll be happy you did!

Cordell and cordell are only about billable hrs. A one sentence email costs 10 min of billable time. Just went to court and and sat there for 2 hrs. I know I will be billed for those hrs but I wonder how many other people are getting billed for the same hrs. I had to settle for what I really didn't want because I could not afford to keep paying for redundant emails and phone calls about nothing.not even sure if they are good lawyers I did not see evidence to convince me. This law firm has absolutely no idea nor care what you are going through with a divorce. My lawyer offered no legal advice at all. (not even when asked). I was told that it was "my decision" or "it's a coin flip". Don't walk, RUN to another firm. My case was as simple as sitting in for me during a spousal support mediation, and my attorney made no case at all. I got railroaded by the opposing attorney and I still got charged mysterious billings and fee splitting. I can't rate them low enough!!!!

This law firm preys on men who are having a very tough time in their lives and makes their life even more difficult by charging you for everything - the old lawyer phrase: "No fee unless we make money for you" does not apply with Cordell & Cordell. There is ALWAYS a fee whether they make money for you or make you broke. Find someone else to handle your legal matters.

Be careful using this group. Find someone else to handle your divorce. They're all about billable hours and have no interest in helping you. Their advertising is very misleading. They really don't care

As expensive as divorces can be, Cordell will nickel and dime you to death and then some. Way overpriced, and not worth what they charge. Go elsewhere and get what you're paying for without going bankrupt.
