I had reservations about going through with this loan. I already paid for an appraisal with Rocket Mortgage but the terms were so bad that I just dropped that loan without closing it. Diamond Mortgage could not use the appraisal done a few weeks prior, but they paid for another appraisal and that show of good faith, along with the terms of the loan made this deal worthwhile. I lowered my monthly mortgage, shortened the term of my mortgage by two years, and locked in a lower interest rate.
