My visit to Cracker Barrel was a pleasant experience, and I’d definitely go back. The service was splendid, with friendly and attentive staff making sure everything was just right. I started off with an iced water and a mocha iced coffee, which was smooth, rich, and had a nice balance of sweetness. We had a really great dinner at this Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. The restaurant is kept clean and the store is well stocked with a huge selection of merchandise. The food is very good, not and fresh with a nice selection. The service here is also very good, friendly and attentive.
We had a good late lunch here on a trip through Birmingham. This was a good location, the menu was complete and the service was great. They had the obligatory peg game on the table as well that helped pass the time. The food was good and hot and service was quick for our little stop while on a schedule.
After we were seated waitress finally comes and takes our drink order as well as our menu order. At that time I requested biscuits, tables all around us were getting biscuits which we never received. After about 30 minutes which in that time frame, 3 other party’s were seated and had their biscuits and FOOD. We were still waiting on BOTH. Waitress finally returns and I tell her we are still waiting on biscuits as well as our food. She replies you have to request biscuits when you are seated. The server did the best she could but the kitchen was terrible. Went in and was seated immediately as the place wasn't busy. Food took a good 45 minutes at least to come out and they were out of THREE different items! Very disappointed and that's hard to do given Cracker Barrel standards.
