We love Cracker Barrel breakfast so stop when we are traveling. We stopped for breakfast and I ordered my typical build your own breakfast and asked for sourdough toast and the Blackberry Preserves after quite a wait. (We were told our food would be out shortly when we hadn't even ordered!) I was told the Blackberry Preserves are only for take out customers. Don't waste your money on ordering the French toast casserole. 1 does not feed 6 to 8 people. It barely fed 4. The 1st pic is from their website the 2nd picture is what we received and after 2 people served themselves. The bread chunks were dry with very little batter on them. No French toast seasoning such as cinnamon and the "icing" drizzle was just that, a drizzle. You get more icing out of the tubes of refrigerator cinnamon rolls. Very disappointed. Took over 15 minutes to get drinks, which had no ice; never got refills and never saw the server to ask for a refill. French toast was not warm enough to melt the butter. Eggs looked like the remnants left stuck to the edge of the skillet. Corn was brought instead of okra. Second time we have tried to pay with mobile and it doesn’t work with the rewards account. While in town for my birthday, my friend and I went to grab breakfast and catch up. Mckayla was our server and did a pretty good job. Service was great, except I hate when servers use terms of endearment. Do not refer to me as "baby," especially when you are waaayyy younger than me 😒🙄 just a pet peeve of mine. The food was great, I had the grandma sampler with all bacon, and my friend had the pancake breakfast with sausage. Everything was great, and I would visit again.
Highly recommend! The staff were warm and welcoming, and the food was, as always, delicious homestyle favorites. Lovely rocking chairs greet you on the porch, while pieces of vintage Americana adorn the walls inside and out. The store offers seasonal gifts, and some hard to find items, like toys and bottled sodas of yesteryear. Check it out if you need a place that serves breakfast all day, or a great lunch special.
