Stopped in for a quick bite before continuing our drive to Milwaukee. We were seated right away. The server created us and got our drink order. The food was great and the atmosphere was as well. Very friendly staff greeted us as we came in and said to have a great day when we left.
Ordered Easter hot meal for 4-6 people for a 11:30am Curbside pickup! Got there around 11:37am and checked in according to their directions and waited! And waited! And waited! Aftere about 15-20 minutes wanting, went inside to find out where my order was, talked with one person, she talked to another (manager?). Was told they would look into it. Waited! This is Old Americana food and General Store Fare. The fireplace adds ambiance to the meal with family or comfortable atmosphere. The Hash browns are must have! During Holidays call ahead for reservations, or definitely peruse the front store. It's like stepping back into the 1930s. Enjoy!
Our server John was great! We have been here before and always have had positive experiences. The food is always good and comes in great portions and the waitstaff is always very kind and attentive. However, this time was slightly different because the hostess, Debra, was very rude and cold. Every interaction was very negative and condescending. She was also hitting her vape where other customers and us saw her. I would still recommend this place to others because I don’t believe one person should ruin it!
