went for breakfast this morning, I ordered the grilled tender breakfast as I usually do..& it came out with what looked like ONE tender cut into three pieces. Mind you, they charge EXTRA for grilled, so as you can imagine, I was quite shocked at the absence of chicken on the plate. The scrambled eggs were also watery.. which is also not usual. My regrets for this post. I've been a patron of Cracker Barrell for over 30 years. My wife was up most of the night vomiting and defecating. We believe the pot roast was bad. The rest of us had other menu items. Our food was not tainted but it was not tasty. The fried chicken was dark and the breading tasted burnt, though it was NOT overcooked. My guess was the fryer shortening was old. It took over 45 minutes to receive our order. Our server was polite but it was remarkable how often we had to repeat requests .... for biscu... read more

My husband and I were seated and waited for 15 minutes, while two other tables were sat and served drinks, and we were never acknowledged by anyone. We ended up getting up and walking out. We used to come here all the time but have had a bad experience the past few times we’ve tried to come. we probably won’t ever be back to this location. To have four servers on the floor on a very dead Monday morning crowd, there was no excuse. Do Better.

Jessica was Awesome. She was very helpful when placing my order and very friendly and polite. The corn was bland, otherwise the food was good and the portions were appropriate. Update: 01/08/25- I earlier posted the food portions were appropriate, well this is before I ate the chicken and dumplings today. The little piece of chicken was about the size of two fingers put together. The dish was definitely dumplings garnished with a very small piece of chicken. Cracker Barrel please do better.

I tried but being a health conscious person who isn't yet and doesn't want to be greasy and fat, I doubt I'll try twice. I wasn't able to find anything to eat. My kid ordered pancakes but he didn't like them. The coffee was good. The waitress was good. The kitchen was slow (they were dead at the time too). The gift shop is better than the restaurant.
