I love Cracker Barrel, I’ve had the pleasure of eating at many across the US and this specific one a handful of times. I ordered the southern chicken meal to pick up, with a salad no tomatoes, no cheese (allergies) with egg added. I ordered mashed potatoes and corn. The food was amazing. Pancakes came out nice warm and steamy love the fact that they serve breakfast all day. And don’t let me forget their syrup. It comes out warm as well. My kiddos enjoyed their chicken and dumplings, buttermilk biscuits with jelly and butter top-tier for them and then when asked for gravy to go along with it even better biscuits and gravy were amazing there. We ordered take out It was horrible The so called steak bites seemed like fake meat. It was rubbery and had a disgusting coating. I barely chewed one piece before I spit it out. The pancakes were burned on bottom so you couldn’t see it until you started eating. I spit it out too. The scrambled eggs weren’t completely scrambled and not cooked thoroughly. We ordered the family meal for our Christmas holiday picking it up on Christmas Eve. We got there at the designated time and followed the instructions to drive to the back. We waited and no one ever came out. After several minutes we called the store only to be put on hold. Finally we got someone who answered and they said that they would send someone out which they did. They took our name and said they would be right out with our order.
