I recently enjoyed Cracker Barrel's French Toast and Fried Chicken, and it was outstanding! The French Toast was perfectly crispy outside and soft inside, with a delicious buttery and cinnamon flavor. The Fried Chicken was crispy, juicy, and well-seasoned, creating a delightful sweet and savory combo. Excellent service and a cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. Five stars!
I love this place for its comfort food and it's comforting.nostalgia. Early dinner specials between 4pm and 6pm and bottomless ice tea is the bargain hunters paradise. Breakfasts are huge and served quickly. The gift shop is exploding with great merchandise from vintage candies ( zagnut bars, Beaman's gum, and licorice whips) to bird feeders and lawn decorations. Always a friendly staff and great antiques on every wall and across the ceiling. Don't forget to enjoy a rocking chair out on covered patio.
Overall, dining at this restaurant is always top notch from start to finish. The delicious food, impeccable service, and charming ambiance makes for a fun experience. Our family goes every Saturday for brunch. We always ask for either Katie or Sara (both Sara’s are great actually 🙂) to be our server. These ladies are friendly, easy going but efficient. Always making sure we have everything we need at all times. Also, to avoid a long wait, make reservations online.
When you want to experience a true American food on a true American/Texan decorated restaurant. THIS is the place you want to come, but JUST for the experience. Now, the no so happy part..... Today I visited with some friends for lunch and it was DISAPPOINTING. I love Cracker Barrel but arrived to sit and stand at a table where someone spilled significant ice tea sticky and no effort to clean. The food lost the seasoning I experienced in the past to be very bland food. I asked for hash brown casserole looked like plane hash browns and sent another order of hash browns slapped with a cheese square still cold. The white gravy was too thick and bland.
